Dreaming of the perfect bread
In this season, we have launched a series of bread mixes, so you easily can make delicious, expanded bread at home. And a special story is attached to these bread mixes. They do not originate from any recipe.
At Nicolas Vahé a food enthusiast named Jane works. Jane works as a cook in our ShowLab and spends time on creating delicious food for our distributors. If you have visited our ShowLab, you have undoubtedly tasted Janes bread.
Jane has always been a “bread-nerd” as she says. She has spent years to give a finishing touch and to improve her recipe in order to obtain the perfect result. When making bread from scratch it is the concept “learning by doing” that plays a prominent role. It is difficult to explain what the perfect dough is. It is something you learn to feel.
Actually, Jane found the perfect bread recipe by accident. She was standing in her kitchen with a bread dough in the mixer and after a couple of minutes, she forgot all about her dough. After a while she returned to the dough and it was both elastic and bright – it was perfect. Since that day, Jane has been commended for her expanded and tasteful bread.
When we at Nicolas Vahé got the idea to make 3 bread mixes for our assortment, it was ideal to include Jane in the process. Often, people ask for the bread recipe when they visit our ShowLab. And now, they can make Janes fantastic bread at home in their own kitchen, just by use of the bread mixes from Nicolas Vahé.
Jane has made 3 different bread variants which the supplier subsequent re-creates as bread mixes. In the assortment, you will find a white bread mix containing wheat flour and graham flour which together with additional ingredients will form an expanded and delicious bread. It is perfect for every brunch table. Beyond that, there is a dark bread mix containing wheat flour, graham flour and dark malt flour. The dark malt flour provides the bread with a characteristic, dark colour and taste. Last but not least, we have a gluten free bread mix due to more gluten allergists. We want to provide a gluten free alternative without compromising on the taste. The gluten free bread mix contains millet, buckwheat, sesame seeds, chia seeds and psyllium husks.
It is just easy to make delicious, homemade bread with these 3 bread mixes. The only thing you have to add is water, salt and yeast. You can make bread, buns or baguettes – the choice is yours. With the bread mixes from Nicolas Vahé you are always prepared for breakfast on Sundays, bread for your children’s lunch pack or buns for a spontaneous visit from your friends. Home baking does not have to be complicated or time-consuming to be delicious. At Nicolas Vahé we believe in simple cooking and quality time with our loved ones.
